DOG-FRIENDLY ESCAPE

Bring the Dog

Well-behaved dogs are very welcome at Apple Cottage. The large enclosed garden gives them room to roam, and there are wonderful walks straight from the door — including the nature reserve directly across the road. Many of our guests are repeat visitors who first chose Apple Cottage for its dog-friendliness.

You're also close to several dog-friendly beaches and Jurassic Coast walks — including Ringstead Bay and dog-welcoming stretches of Studland — many of which allow dogs year-round.

The garden is enclosed but not guaranteed fully escape-proof — do get in touch about bringing your dog and we'll make sure it's a good fit.

"A lovely cottage in a quiet location with a big garden. Sandra the host was great. An ideal base for exploring the beaches of Studland, Corfe Castle, Brownsea Island, the Tank Museum and Weymouth. We had a great stay and would love to visit again."

"We stayed as a family with young children. The house had everything we needed, including toys for the kids and board games for the adults. The garden was huge and the kids loved the BBQ and fire pit. Sandra was a fabulous host. Totally recommend!"

"Fantastic for our family holiday for my dad's 70th — the perfect spot to reach all the main sights. The garden is beautiful; we even got photos of the woodpeckers from the living room window. Great holiday, thank you!"

"This was our 8th visit to Apple Cottage. We originally chose it for its dog-friendliness as much as the location. It's always well-presented and Sandra, who lives next door, is welcoming and responsive. One of the few cottages where we've never had to buy something missing from the kitchen."
